These are the Backwards, the Beatles tribute band. They are claimed to be the best of the best of cover bands and I believe it.
They really sound like the Beatles, they have the same equipment, clothes, they play with the orchestra as well sometimes, they even have British accent and talk like them (!!!!!) and they are purely amazing. The Backwards are a Slovak band (with exception of Ringo who is from the Czech Republic) and they are internationally recognized. This video is from the Ed Sullivan show. They also performed in the Cavern Club and BBC and other places.
Louise Harrison, sister of the late George Harrison has seen The Backwards perform twice. Her first performance was The Beatlefest in NYC in 1998. She met the boys and with tears in her eyes she said,“After 30 years I have again heard the sound of The Beatles.”
I saw them perform on Thursday in my town and also last autumn. Both times it was an amazing experience and I won’t miss a chance to see them again and again. I love them. They make me happy because they keep the beatle music alive.
I know they are not The Beatles and I never was a great fan of cover bands but they are unbelievable plus I have a thing for Paul……..
